Some of the creatures you’ll encounter within the Tue-Rah Chronicles and its related stories are quite recognizable. There are a few whose names may seem familiar such as the camel but who will be a lot stranger than what you might expect. And some are wholly new.
This is just a basic rundown in alphabetical order of the sorts of creatures you’ll encounter in these worlds with a brief description. Longer and more in-depth entries will be provided later.
Mythical creatures that exist within our world’s mythologies and do not necessarily differ significantly will be symbolized by a *.
- acid badger – a dog-sized badger that can secrete an acid that allows it to burrow faster without leaving as much dirt or scent behind
- bavel – a Clydesdale sized creature that resembles a giant anteater and drains all fluids from victims within a matter of seconds
- besred – a massive blind creature similar to a gorgonopsid that has acidic jaws, digesting its food within its mouth and tracking prey through vibrations in the ground; they are one of the top predators of Vawtrians in Ecekom
- chimera*
- crudon – a skeletal bear hyena creature with a quilled stomach that stalks Libyshan mythology until brought until reality
- cabiza – a lion-sized creature with a reptilian forebody, a frog’s tongue, and hornet’s abdomen and hindquarters; it is another apex predator in Ecekom
- camel – the majority of Eiram’s (Earth’s) camels have disguised themselves as harmless herbivores, drawing on their natural transformative abilities, but, especially during the Grey Season, deadly hordes of camels roam Ecekom
- cloud dragon – pale blue serpentine dragons that more closely resemble Chinese dragons rather than traditional western dragons but with wings that unfurl along their six legs; very friendly despite being carnivores
- coffin weaver – rhino sized spiders that live in trees or caves, typically solitary; their bite is usually fatal within seconds, and after the venom is injected and they drain the corpse of its fluids, the body turns to shriveled stone
- crocotta*
- fire piranha – piranhas who emit an oily liquid that allows them to catch fire without hurting themselves; in dense humid atmospheres, they can swim through the air and hunt prey without harm to themselves
- four face – a genetically modified scorpion that never stops growing; though it shares a body and a stinger, it has four heads and eight claws
- giant centipede – though only reaching a length of fifteen feet at most, it is far more aggressive than the mammoth centipede and has a stronger and more aggressive venom; it is typically brown or black rather than red or gold like its larger cousin

- hook-fanged spiders – wolf sized spiders that delight in tormenting their prey and whose webs are painful to the touch; though originally native to Eiram (Earth), they have spread throughout the worlds and nearly vanished entirely from Eiram; typically pack dwellers
- ice croc – an elemental crocodile who can chill the water to below freezing but who can also move within ice as easily as water, leaving the path frozen behind it

- leopard boa – a 100 foot serpent with leopard like markings and the uncanny ability to alter its thickness to allow it to pass through smaller holes
- laser otter – can’t reveal more without spoilers but will say that they are adorable predators with special abilities
- Libyshan bruin – large bears that have been trained and domesticated through Bealorn techniques to not only live within sleuths (packs) but to serve as war mounts and pets; they are approximately the same size as grizzly bears but have a wider range of coloration

- mammoth centipede – anaconda sized centipede that never stops growing and which is generally more curious than aggressive but which happily eats people

- mer elephant – a blue or green elephant, often covered in comforting algae, that serves as a guardian of rivers and bays with diving capabilities and a tendency to stroll along the ocean floor up to 400 feet below the waves
- mountain mouth – a massive creature, easily mimicking the appearance of a mountain and cave; sleeps for long periods, digesting random creatures that wander inside and only waking occasionally; almost impossible form to master for shifting but incredibly powerful once mastered

- plague lion – a black furred lion with an energy mane that generates different diseases/bacteria based on the lion’s mood and activities; while they are generally seen as destructive, they can be helpful as well
- plesiolobo – a land dwelling plesiosuarus and wolf like creature which hunts in packs and lurks in the deepest valleys of the low gas filled valleys of Ecekom, rivaled only by the whip tongued sharks in this region
- psigolath – a forty foot long or larger serpent with a venomed neck frill that shoots out venomous spikes
- psychic mole – lion-sized moles with noses that turn different colors based on the energy that they are encountering; some are believed to leave signs and warnings etched in the dirt or in the sides of the tunnels that they create
- rock mantis – ranging from six to ten feet in height, rock mantises are insectoid predators that live in the mountains and forests of Ecekom
- ruby gremlin – small creatures that have triple jointed fingers and which steal gems and stones, especially red ones like jasper and rubies, and leaves random objects behind
- saber tooth – a shifting creature whose true form is never known except for the persistent presence of fangs and spots or striping always in multiples of five; has been known to appear as a saber toothed tiger, wolf, lion, musk deer, unicorn, and other similar creatures
- seropard/serpopard*
- seven clawed raptors – eight feet tall with seven claws on each foot; pack hunters with gliding capabilities; phenomenal tracking abilities; one of the few species to kill for sport and preemption
- silver ape – compulsive weavers that hide within the jungles; very shy and more often only revealed by the presence of branches and weeds woven together than actual sight
- skelro – powerfully built rams and ewe goats with wings
- skin hunters – skeletal headed bison and elk like creatures that can track any scent for miles and which are insatiable in their pursuit
- swarm dragon – quadropedal indigo and midnight dragons that resemble salamanders more than lizards and which congregate in large swarms in the forests and attack in intelligent formations
- unicorn*
- veldrok wolf – a large black wolf that looks more like a merging of a human and wolf (similar to certain werewolf designs) with the ability to see in even the darkest of terrains, venom glands, and powerful jumping capabilities
- vespyr – a small lithe lizard that is so persistent that even if it loses all of its legs, it will learn to move like a snake; also a term of endearment and frustration relating to someone who won’t stop; it is sometimes inappropriately referred to as a snake
- whip tongue shark – a pale purple great-white shark sized predator which can launch itself from the water and fly through the air using a helium bladder to hunt prey on land which it often snaps up or off balance with its whip like tongue
- wind jaguar – a jaguar that becomes increasingly invisible/see through the faster it moves
- winged serpent – high energy serpents with wings that are covered in venomous fangs; flock based
